Built to handle the toughest terrain out there, the X-TALON™ PRO is engineered for racing and running through deep mud, ice and the wettest, most technical ground, where grip matters more than anything else.

8mm lugs, the deepest in the range, are built from our New & Improved STICKYGRIP compound, giving uncompromising traction in the boggiest mud and on icy, slippery surfaces where other shoes lose their footing.

Technology

1. GRAPHENE-GRIP Rubber Outsole
   Get uncompromising grip on any terrain. 6mm graphene-infused rubber lugs give formidable grip and traction on soft, wet and hard surfaces. Shaped like the hoof pattern of a mountain goat, the lugs cling to any surface, then release just as quickly while propelling you on to your next stride.
2. POWERFLOW PRO Midsole
   A bouncy, cushioned ride that retains high levels of responsiveness is provided by the new POWERFLOW PRO foam midsole. This amazing underfoot comfort and propulsion is built in a way that still allows for the ground-feel you need when running over uneven, technical terrain.
3. Engineered Mesh Upper
   Breathability, comfort and stability are provided by the TRAILTALON's engineered upper. With breathable zones and reinfored areas in places that are prone to extra wear. Over this a heel and midfoot MET-CRADLE helps to give that stable, locked-in feel you need when running over treachorous terrain.
4. BOOMERANG Footbed
   Preserve your energy on long runs with the BOOMERANG Footbed. The insoles feature hundreds of foam beads that compress and spring back for 40% energy return during your stride. Perfect for longer runs where maximising every bit of energy counts.
5. Choice Of Fits
   The TRAILTALON hugs the natural contours of your foot, locking you in at the heel and then widening at the toes. Available in Standard Fit and Wide Fit. Go Wide Fit if you have wide feet or would like more room when running longer distances.

Care

• Wash: by hand in cold water — remove insoles and laces, brush off mud and dirt and rinse.
• Dry: fully after every run, at room temperature, away from radiators and direct sun — never in a tumble dryer. Stuff with newspaper to speed it up.
• Re-waterproof periodically, e.g. with Grangers® Footwear Repel Plus.

Size guide — please read before ordering

Inov8 shoes fit small: order 1 full size above your usual US size. Example: usual US 8 → order Inov8 size 9. Not sure of your usual size? Measure your foot length (cm) and use the table.

Width

This model comes in Precision fit. Measure your foot at its widest point and compare with the table (foot width in cm). If your foot is wider than the Precision value for your size, this model may feel tight: consider a Wide-fit model.

How to measure

Stand on a sheet of paper against a wall, in the socks you run in, heel against the wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe and the widest points of your foot, then measure length and width in cm. Measure both feet, use the larger values, and measure late in the day.
